Registry Cleaner 2010 is a system optimization tool. It scans your system registry to find errors or instances of redundancy that could slow down your system or cause errors. Registry Cleaner 2010 looks for a variety of things when it scans your registry. On my first scan, I was told I had 826 errors that needed to be fixed. Some of the errors found were: Invalid Shared DLLs, Invalid ActiveX.COM selection, Invalid open with App instances, Invalid multi-language user interface cache, among others. Those errors were categorized for me and there is a "detailed view" that shows you which registry keys are the ones that contain the errors.
Registry Cleaner 2010 gives your computer a PC health score based on the number of errors found, and it recommends fixing when the number goes below a set threshold. With the 800 errors I had I was urged to repair my registry. The application keeps copies of past reports to help you troubleshoot your system. Also, you can backup your registry and then restore it, just in case something goes wrong.
Just like many other registry reparation tools, Registry Cleaner 2010 will not fix any errors for you. The application can only scan your registry and tell you what CAN be fixed, but won't fix it for you.
The scans were very fast and the user interface looks very intuitive.
